Athletic Director - Bill Taylor
(916) 971-7505

As we embark on the 2024-2025 athletic season, just a reminder of spectator behavior at our contests.

The Sac-Joaquin Section and Rio Americano aim to maintain a sportsmanship-focused environment at all contests, promoting a culture of respect, fair play and positive engagement. Degrading opposing players and officials will not be tolerated. Please focus on supporting our athletes and coaches during contests.

Thank you for your continued support of our student athletes.

In accordance with our governing bodies and the San Juan Unified School District, each student-athlete needs an Athletic Clearance for participation.  Grade and Attendance requirements are paramount to the success of each student-athlete and team.  Here at Rio Americano High School we are honored by the achievements of all participants and have a rich history of success both in the classroom and on the fields, in the pools, and on the courts.

The Rio Athletic Department works closely with Rio Americano Athletic Boosters (R.A.A.B.) to ensure that all Rio sports programs have the financial resources and volunteer support they need in order to compete. Please visit riosports.org for more information.

We look forward to positive experiences and exciting times through your participation in Rio Americano Athletics. Below are the offered Sports on our campus.
