Draft Environmental Impact Report for Rio Americano High School stadium improvement project now available for public review

The Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Rio Americano High School stadium improvement project is now published and available for public review.

The Draft EIR is available for review at sanjuan.edu/riostadium and the State Clearinghouse website.

The publication of the Draft EIR begins a 45-day public review period, providing an opportunity for students, staff and community members, as well as state and local agencies and other stakeholders, to review the document and submit written comments.

The Final EIR is scheduled to be presented to the Board of Education for consideration and potential approval at the Nov. 17 Board of Education meeting.

Important Dates:

• Sept. 2, 2026: Draft Environmental Impact Report published and public review period begins
• 45-day public review period - Sept. 2-Oct. 16: Community members can review the Draft EIR and submit written comments
• Nov. 17, 2026: Final EIR to be presented to the Board of Education for consideration and potential approval
